A
At The Market
A buy or sell order that must be executed at the best price currently available in the market. These are also called market orders.
What we mean by the definition mentioned above is that “at the market” is the best order to choose if the investors are looking for immediate execution, not for a specific price. In other words, it does not guarantee a specific price.
Suppose that an investor wants to buy a share, and the current best sell price in the market is 50 USD. The buy order gets executed immediately at this price.
Auction market
A market where buyers and sellers submit orders that are matched by an auctioneer.
AUD/USD
The abbreviation for the Australian dollar and U.S. dollar (AUD/USD) currency pair or cross. It is also referred to as the Aussie among forex traders.
In the AUD/USD, the base currency is the AUD and the quote currency is the USD. In other words we are referring to how much USD is required to buy one unit of AUD.
Let us have an easy example for clarification purposes. If the exchange rate of 1 AUD is 2 USD, then you need to pay 100 USD to purchase 50 AUD.
Aussie
The Aussie is a nickname for the Australian dollar, often abbreviated into AUD. It is one of the most popular currencies in the trading world.
One of the reasons for which this currency is popular among traders is that it is stable, associated with Australia’s resource-rich economy.
Of course, just like all other assets, this currency can be influenced by major news and updates around the world.
